Jamie Azevedo is originally from the Pacific Northwest, having grown up on the outskirts of Portland, Oregon. She eventually ventured to the East Coast for college and law school, where she learned the joy of the Philly cheesesteak and then, the Boston Red Sox. Though she has always come home, Jamie’s love for travel has continuously pulled her, and she has lived in Argentina, Chile, and most recently, Sweden.
Currently, Jamie spends most of her free time with her family, chasing her three young children around the fields, pitches and parks of Portland. When she can, she still loves to travel, explore, cycle, run, taste some new IPAs, and go to Timbers games. Jamie is especially excited for the firm’s second year in the Hood to Coast Relay.
Practice & Experience
Jamie began her legal career as in-house counsel for GEICO, where she successfully tried a variety of cases through arbitration and jury verdict. In addition to representing insured customers in personal injury lawsuits filed against them, Jamie represented GEICO in uninsured and underinsured motorist claims, and as a plaintiff in subrogation. Her desire to expand her practice led Jamie to Bodyfelt Mount in 2016, after returning from two years living in Uppsala, Sweden. Jamie’s practice focuses on general civil litigation with an emphasis in catastrophic injury, wrongful death, employment and products liability claims.
