In high school Jamison’s first job was as a “looper” at a local country club. In true Caddyshack fashion, Jamison was awarded the Evans Scholarship, a caddy scholarship which provided full tuition at the University of Oregon. Jamison graduated from the University of Oregon in three years with a double major in political science and philosophy. He also spent many Saturdays rooting for the Ducks in the stands at Autzen Stadium or McArthur Court. Jamison chose to remain at Oregon for law school because of his love of the state and his desire to practice law in the Pacific Northwest.
While Jamison is a native Oregonian, he enjoys actively exploring the United States. In his free time, he also enjoys golfing, watching the Portland Trailblazers, and training on and off for half marathons.
Practice & Experience
Jamison specializes in civil litigation, with an emphasis on personal injury and property damage claims, insurance coverage disputes, and commercial litigation.
Jamison joined Bodyfelt Mount as an associate in 2013. Before joining the firm, Jamison clerked for the Honorable Karsten H. Rasmussen of the Lane County Circuit Court. As a judicial law clerk, his work concentrated on complex civil litigation cases.
In 2015, Jamison was selected to the Jury Trial Experience Project sponsored by the American College of Trial Lawyers. The program is designed to help young civil lawyers gain trial experience in front of juries. Jamison worked part time with the Metropolitan Public Defender Services for five months, handling misdemeanor cases on behalf of indigent clients on a pro bono basis. Highlights of the program included Jamison’s first jury trial and prevailing on a dispositive motion after a Rule 104 hearing.
In 2019, Jamison completed the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) Trial Academy at Stanford Law School in Palo Alto, California. He was selected as one of 98 students from 33 different states and four countries. The seven-day intensive program blended faculty instruction along with student demonstration exercises.
