Maryssa Ferries is a Texas native, growing up in a small town outside of Houston. However, her love for the outdoors and new adventures brought her to Oregon to attend Willamette University College of Law. Since moving to Oregon, Maryssa has fallen in love with the endless food opinions Portland has to offer and the fall weather. In her free time, she enjoys improving her golf game, playing pickleball, and cheering on the Texas A&M Aggies every Saturday. When not outside, Maryssa and her husband love to experiment in the kitchen, whether that’s curating new dishes or following passed-down family recipes.
Practice & Experience
Maryssa joined Bodyfelt Mount as an associate in 2021 and practices general civil litigation.
Before joining the firm, Maryssa was a certified law clerk at the Multnomah County District Attorney’s office. While there, she assisted with various misdemeanor trials. Additionally, Maryssa externed with the Honorable Meagan A. Flynn at the Oregon Supreme Court. This experience allowed her to further develop her legal research and writing skills, as well as see the inner workings of the appellate courts. At Willamette College of Law, Maryssa was Managing Editor of the Willamette Social Justice & Equity Journal, served as a LexisNexis ambassador, and was an active member of the Moot Court Board.
