Abby R. Michels is delighted to call the Pacific Northwest home. She grew up in eastern Washington and was excited to move to the “big city” for college, law school and her professional career. Abby is an avid plant/animal supporter and endeavors to create art and aesthetic spaces when the moment is right.

Practice & Experience

Abby’s career spans two decades in the primary area of civil litigation. Abby has worked in a variety of contexts including in private practice, state government, and for one of the largest property and casualty insurance companies in the world.


Abby’s experience includes complex construction defect, business, and personal injury litigation. She has had the privilege of representing a number of general contractors and subcontractors in the context of construction disputes, as well as insurance carriers and their insureds in various UM, UIM, and other personal injury cases. Abby enjoys premises liability cases and most tort-related litigation. She also worked early in her career in trademark, copyright, and related issues surrounding the protection of the creative/proprietary work of writers, artists and businesses.
